In the face of litigation for cases of alleged sexual abuse, the Archdiocese of Washington is seeking to overturn Maryland’s Child Victims Act which took effect on October 1, 2023. The new law allows victims who were sexually abused years ago as children to sue those responsible by eliminating the previous statute of limitations.
